What Are CBD Tinctures?
We get asked this question a lot from people looking to try CBD for the first time. A CBD Tincture is Cannabidiol (CBD) that is extracted from the hemp plant. However, it can also be extracted from the Marijuana plant but we only use the Hemp plant because it has low THC. This means that our CBD is not meant to get you high. Our CBD is then combined with natural oils to bring you amazing flavors that you can enjoy.
Full Spectrum CBD
Our Tinctures have what is called - Full Spectrum CBD - This means you’re getting the full Hemp plant and not just CBD. The hemp plant contains many properties which include CBD, CBG, Terpenes, and more. In addition, it has very low traces of THC which occur naturally and not enough to get you high. This makes CBD enjoyable because unlike Marijuana, CBD doesn’t tend to trigger anxiety - even at high doses.
The difference between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolate is how much of the Hemp properties you’re receiving. As stated earlier, Full Spectrum means you’re getting all of the Hemp properties; while Broad Spectrum gives you some of the Hemp properties but more of the CBD. Finally, Isolate is pure CBD with low traces of the Hemp properties but can include Terpenes which help with the flavor.
How To Use A CBD Tincture
Many people, including celebrities use CBD Tinctures or most commonly known as CBD Oil. We recommend starting with a low amount of CBD if it’s your first time using it. This will ensure that you get to enjoy the CBD and find out what your preference is. Most of our customers start off with a 1000mg and gradually move up. Also, start with half of the dropper first (50 ml) then keep increasing the dosage as necessary. There are also different ways of taking Tinctures which include sublingually and ingesting it.
You can apply our Tinctures directly under your tongue known as Sublingually. You simply drop some CBD Oil under your tongue using the dropper and leave for 30 seconds. Once 30 seconds have passed you can then swallow. Another popular way of using our Tinctures is by adding a couple of drops to your favorite food or drink; this is known as ingesting CBD. You will love the taste as we have different flavors to choose from which include:
Sublingual Vs. Ingesting
Now that you know about the different ways to take a CBD Tincture here is the difference between taking it sublingual vs. ingesting. When you take it sublingually you’re allowing the CBD to settle under your tongue. This allows it to go directly into your bloodstream through the tiny capillaries under your tongue. The advantage is that it can get absorbed by your body at a faster rate and doesn’t need to get metabolized. However, this means the CBD enters into your system all at once instead of gradually.
When you ingest CBD you have to wait for your body to metabolize it. This can take an hour to an hour and a half before you can start enjoying CBD. However, once it’s in your system you can enjoy it a lot better compared to taking it sublingual. This is because it gradually enters your system instead of all at once. Additionally, you get to enjoy the taste by adding some to your favorite drink or dessert. We recommend adding CBD to some sort of fat or oil in your food or drink; this acts as a carrier agent that helps transport the CBD directly into your body to get metabolized.
The Benefits of CBD Tinctures
The benefits of using a CBD Tincture include taking it in a more direct approach compared to vaping it, or applying to your skin. A lot of people who don’t like the idea of vaping or smoking their CBD prefer CBD Tinctures. Although CBD Cartridges and CBD Disposable Pens are very popular, the CBD Tinctures are by far more popular. We tend to notice that a lot of older people who are not smokers prefer using the Tinctures instead of the Vape products. However, a lot of the Topicals are also a preferred method but it doesn’t surpass the benefits of the CBD Tinctures.
Unlike CBD Topicals, the tinctures are a more direct approach because it goes directly into your system. If you’re not familiar with what Topicals are - it is CBD that goes directly into your skin. This means you have to wait for the CBD to be absorbed by your skin. It’s great if you’re trying to target a specific part of your body with CBD. However, if you’re trying to get CBD into your system - the tinctures are the best route to go.
